This stunning 17th century vigneron’s house is perfectly located right in the centre of Meursault, just a few steps from the main square with its cafes, wine-bars, shops, restaurants and weekly market. An extensive and beautifully renovated property that can be rented exclusively for large groups up to 12 or as three individual houses for smaller groups of 2, 4 or 6 people. It is an impressive property for entertaining and the perfect location for exploring Burgundy’s world famous vineyards.

Ground floor
Entering from the gravel courtyard or from the pretty garden, you are welcomed into the impressive panelled reception hall with its crystal chandelier. There is a small lift to take luggage and groceries to the upper floors. The guest suite opens from the reception hall and has its own en-suite shower room. The laundry / utility room is on the opposite side of the entrance hall as well as the storage room and separate w.c.
First floor
A graciously curved stone staircase leads up to the grand salon at first floor. This opulent space is ideal for entertaining with an open fireplace and comfortable lounge area at one end, central dining table for up to 12, and fully equipped gourmet cook’s kitchen at the far end. The salon opens onto a long balcony overlooking the courtyard.
The open plan, gourmet kitchen is designed for entertaining on a grand scale with a Lacanche oven and long, zinc-topped work table with inset stone pastry board. It provides ample space for several cooks to share food preparation or watch cookery demonstrations. There is a special double width fridge to keep large platters fresh and 2 dishwashers to speed the clearing up at the end!
Second floor
The master suite enjoys spectacular views over Meursault’s famous vineyards. An antique double bed, golden glass chandelier, antique mirrors, freestanding bath, separate wc and step down shower, make this bedroom dramatic and memorable.
Separated from the master suite by the quiet, library/study area with leather topped desk, the second bedroom on the top floor is gorgeous, romantic and pink! It is a large single room with its own free standing bath, wc and wash stand, antique bed with canopy, golden chandelier, parquet floor and original beams.
Outside
Grand electronic gates open into the pretty gravel courtyard with space for parking, a beautiful stone fountain, grand entrance stairs and a wood-burning pizza oven. The grand salon at the first floor opens onto a long balcony and then up onto a spacious roof terrace with a gas-fired barbeque and traditional tiled dining table for 10 with views over the Meursault vineyards.

We provide a Welcome Pack of basics which typically includes:
milk, sugar, tea, coffee, orange juice, bottled water, jam, cereal, biscuits, crisps, salt & pepper, olive oil, and balsamic vinegar.
The apartment is also stocked with the essentials: ie hand soap, toilet rolls, kitchen paper, foil, cling film, bin bags, matches, paper napkins and tea lights. Also included are all bed linen and towels, cleaning products, central heating, free WiFi.
Cot and high chair available on request.
For stays of two weeks or more, we include a mid-stay clean and linen change.
